Social Protection Civil Society Network (SPCSN) is a liberal forum established in 2012 to generate evidences, aiming to raise voice of right holders, promote interface platform between right holders and duty bearers, to hold duty bearers more account on various social protection issues. Member organizations of the SPCSN are dedicated to protect socio economic rights of the most vulnerable groups, viz. children, elderly, people with disability, traffic survivors, people living with HIV/AIDs, single women, landless people and other underprivileged groups.
This year, the Network has initiated to publish a journal with an objective to bring collective voices on social protection issues through experts in regard to suggest the policy makers to adequately design social protection programs to fill the gaps and deliver transparency and accountability of these programs. The Journal of Social Protection envisages exploring dimension of social protection system in Nepal by identifying key challenges and opportunities for policy makers. The journal also envisions building a momentum to showcase the landscape of policies and programs to the implementation processes. The journal will also be devoted to publishing research papers for academics to share advances in social protection. Issues that the journal will cover include social protection policies and practices, social welfare, innovations in social development focusing on social protection, and other subjects related with social protection.
The Network expects this literature will broaden the scope of wider range of readers to analyze the social protection system through ideas of thematic experts who are working in bilateral, multi-lateral donors, I/NGOs, champion leaders of civil societies, broadsheet media personnel, government bodies, academicians etc.
The introductory issue of this journal will be published in December 2020 in both print and online versions. All publications of this journal will be open access in full text and free to download. We are calling for submission of papers for the introductory issue (Vol. 1, No. 1, December 2020). As part of the submission process, you as an author are required to check off the submission’s compliance with all of the following items.
