The Social Protection Civil Society Network (SPCSN) is a coalition formed on 16 February 2012 in Nepal, comprising 19 NGOs and 2 international NGOs. SPCSN advocates for the rights of vulnerable groups in Nepal, focusing on children, the elderly, people with disabilities, trafficking survivors, individuals with HIV/AIDS, single women, Dalits, and the landless. It promotes accountability among duty-bearers and interfaces between right holders and experts. SPCSN strives for sustainable, transparent, and accountable social security programs, emphasizing shock-responsive social protection and policy collaboration with the Nepal government. The network values networking, transparency, and mutual respect, with activities driven by marginalized groups and women’s organizations.
Journal of Social Protection is a high-quality open access peer-reviewed journal. It is an annually published journal by Social Protection Civil Society Network (SPCSN), Nepal. The journal publishes in both print and online versions. The journal aims to bring learnings, issues, and voices on social protection to inform development practitioners, academicians, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders working on issues pertinent to social protection.
The journal invites original high-quality empirical and theoretical papers, review papers, case studies, and policy analyses for its fourth volume which is going to be published in December 2024. Submission of an article to the journal of Social Protection implies that the work described has not been published previously and is also not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Furthermore, if the paper is accepted in this journal the same paper will not be published in the same form elsewhere without written permission from the publisher.
Paper length and format
The journal invites papers ranging from 5000 to 6000 words excluding maps and figures, written in the English language. The article must be in MS word with 12 point font size in Times New Roman. Papers must follow the APA 7th edition format for citation and reference. The manuscripts must have a 1-inch margin on all sides. The maps, figures, charts, and photographs can be submitted in multicolor with high resolution in .jpg format.
