1. Background

Realizing the rights of children in Nepal Through Child-Sensitive Social Protection (PAHUNCH) is five years program that is supported by Save the Children International to the Children-Women in Social Service and Human Rights (CWISH) starting from 2016-2021. Social Protection Civil Society Network (SPCSN) is a liberal forum of 14 Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and 3 International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) promoting social protection issues in Nepal since 2012. It seeks to enable social protection coverage to the most vulnerable groups, the ultra-poor population as right-based approaches. CWISH is providing a secretariat platform to Social Protection Civil Society Network (SPCSN) to enhance social protection issues where it has shown the capacity to promote on various occasions.

The team seeks to assign a paid volunteer who will be regularly supporting to achieve the project and the organizational goals.

3. Duration: 1 October 2021 to 31 December 2021

4. Project Area: Kathmandu Valley

5. Starting Date: 1 October 2021

6. Remuneration: Rs. 15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Nepalese Rupees) a month

8. Reporting: SPCSN Chairperson, Programme Coordinator, and Program Officer

10. Brief Job Description

The volunteer will assist the Program Coordinator of SPCSN to implement the PAHUNCH project activities. S/he is responsible to conduct/ handle activities as mentioned below:

S/he will regularly support

  • organizing regular meetings of SPCSN.
  • to writing meeting minutes in English and Nepali Languages.
  • to may include drafting concept notes, event management, follow-up plan, and processing them to the secretariat CWISH office.
  • to collect bill vouchers, library file management,  and support TV-talk programs.
  • to support any other tasks assigned by CWISH/ SPCSN team.

10. Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  • A candidate having at least BA, BBS, BSW, and or other relevant studies will be eligible to apply for the position.
  • A candidate who knows NGO-based programs, social mobilization, data management, financial background (preferably NGO registration, internal/external audits, etc.), and relevant experience is preferred.
  • A candidate having a two-wheeler vehicle and driving license is highly preferred.
  • Shorlisted candidates will be notified through email and virtual interviews will be organized for selection processes.
  • A selection committee members from CWISH/SPCSN will be engaged during the selection processes.
  • A preference will be given to female candidates.
