Realizing the rights of children in Nepal through Child-Sensitive Social Protection (PAHUNCH) is four years program that is supported by Save the Children International to the Social Protection Civil Society Network (SPCSN) starting from 2022 to 2026. SPCSN is a liberal forum of 14 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and 3 International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) promoting social protection issues in Nepal since 2012. It seeks to enable social protection coverage to the most vulnerable groups, the ultra-poor population as a right-based approach.

The team seeks to assign an admin and finance assistant who will be regularly supported to achieve the project and the organizational goals.

Type of assignment: Admin and Finance Assistant

Duration: May-December 2022 (Possibility of  extension)

Project Area: Kathmandu Valley and frequent field visits.

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Remuneration: Gross Salary NPR. 17,600 (Seventeen Thousand and Six Hundred Nepalese Rupees) a month (Salary could be  revised based on the performance)

Educational Qualifications: Intermediate degree in accounting, preferred BBS or BBA with two years of working experience.

Brief Job Description

The admin and finance assistant will assist the Program Coordinator & Program Officer of SPCSN to implement the PAHUNCH and organizational project & internal financial activities. S/he is responsible to conduct/handling activities as mentioned below:

Major Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Account transactions of projects;
  • Process for printing and quotations for publications and maintaining register and reporting;
  • Be responsible for office management and maintenance and safe handling of office equipment;
  • Ensure that financial guidelines, rules, and procedures are adequately followed during purchase, request, and consumption;
  • Support in purchase/requisition and order, receipt reporting inventory demand and supply management;
  • Update fixed assets register and prepare for biannual verification;
  • Manage financial documents such as advance requests and settlement from project teams, other program staff, and designated persons, and proceed with the payment and settlement;
  • Support in financial settlement and procurement process of the organization.
  • Support in carrying our SPCSN Helpline activities; and websites update.
  • Manage TDS Deposit to IRO and Online ETDS Verification and ensure TDS timely deposit
  • Organizing regular meetings of SPCSN.
  • Prepare cheques and salary payment accounts/CIT management
  • Handle Petty Cashbook and keep it updated as well as maintain the ledger properly
  • Assist in the internal audit and project audits
  • Other official tasks are assigned by the Program Coordinator and the Executive Board.
  • Conduct/organize different pieces of training, meetings, seminars, and workshops planned under the project.
  • Support SPCSN team for SC partnership assessment, develop required documents, and system establishment
  • Correspondence with concerned stakeholders and members of SPCSN.
  • Ensure all planned activities are to be completed on time with quality.

The initial phase of the contract will be for eight months and with the possibility of extension based on the team satisfaction, the contract will be renewed accordingly.
